Minnesota Contractor License & Exam Prep
Obtain or Renew Your License in Minnesota
Prior to bidding on any project, a contractor's license in Minnesota is required. To obtain your license, you will need to pass the Business and Finance Exam along with your industry specific trade exam(s).
14 Hours of continuing education are required for each renewal (every 2 years). Renewals are in August every 2 years. The year alternates depending on if you have a certified or registered license.

Obtain Your License or Renew Your License
All licensed Minnesota Residential Contractors must obtain 14 hours of continuing education each renewal. License expiration depends on the date of initial licensure. Take it with us today online.
