New Jersey Contractor License & Exam Prep
Obtain or Renew Your License in New Jersey
Prior to bidding on any project, a contractor's license in New Jersey is required. To obtain your license, you will need to pass the Business and Finance Exam along with your industry specific trade exam(s).
14 Hours of continuing education are required for each renewal (every 2 years). Renewals are in August every 2 years. The year alternates depending on if you have a certified or registered license.
