Standard 90.1 has been a benchmark for commercial building energy codes in the United States and a key basis for codes and standards around the world for more than 35 years. This standard provides the minimum requirements for energy-efficient design of most buildings, except low-rise residential buildings.

NFPA 101, Life Safety Code, is the most widely referenced source for occupant safety strategies based on construction, protection, and occupancy features in all stages of a building life cycle. Relevant to life safety in both new and existing structures, NFPA 101 covers everything from means of egress and features of fire protection to hazardous materials emergencies, injuries from falls, and emergency communications.

Commercial Design Manual Applications Systems and Equipment - This manual focuses on the methods and procedures that should be used to design small commercial HVAC systems. MJ8AE, an abridged version of the Eighth Edition of Manual J, provides complete instructions for estimating heat loss and heat gain for residential structures. MJ8AE is sufficient for learning the Manual J procedures and for undertaking hand calculations on a varied number of home applications.

You can apply the Manual D procedure to constant volume systems and zoned variable air volume systems, over a full range of duct construction materials.
