The New Fifth Edition of Manual N® details the load calculation procedure that addresses the advances in the commercial construction industry: new materials, methods of assembly, and operational requirements

Manual J 8th Edition is the national ANSI recognized standard for producing HVAC equipment sizing loads for single-family detached homes, small multi-unit structures, condominiums, town houses, and manufactured homes. A proper load calculation, performed in accordance with the Manual J 8th Edition procedure, is required by national building codes and most state and local jurisdictions.

You can apply the Manual D procedure to constant volume systems and zoned variable air volume systems, over a full range of duct construction materials. MJ8AE, an abridged version of the Eighth Edition of Manual J, provides complete instructions for estimating heat loss and heat gain for residential structures. MJ8AE is sufficient for learning the Manual J procedures and for undertaking hand calculations on a varied number of home applications.
