Arizona Residential Electrical Contractor Licenses are split into three license classifications: Residential, Commercial, and Dual certifications. The state previously required applicants to pass a Statutes and Rules exam, and that has been replaced by the AZ Statutes and Rules Training Course and Exam (SRE) provided by the Registrar of Contractors. All of our training is offered in an online self-paced format. Our exam prep is designed to help you pass your Residential Electrical Licensing Exam the first time, and is backed with our no pass, no pay policy. All of our courses are available from almost any device, any time. We hope that you will make RocketCert your home to help you obtain your Arizona Residential Electrical Contractor License.
Arizona Residential Electrical Contractors are able to install and repair residential electrical systems.
Residential Electrical Contractor (R-39)
To apply for your license, contact the Arizona Registrar of Contractors at 803-896-4686 or visit their website.
The state does not require continuing education prior to each renewal. Also, Arizona has reciprocity agreements with California, Nevada, and Utah.
With RocketCert, our education is written by a combination of professional educators and industry professionals. Our exam prep is guaranteed to help you pass the exam, and is backed with our no pass, no pay policy. We pride ourselves on providing industry leading customer service. Also, if you find a better original price on any online course that we offer, we will beat it by 10%.
Preparing to pass the exam is a critical part of licensing in Arizona. Failing the exam can result in substantial delays before you are able to work under your license. We offer industry leading exam prep and all of the required books, at an unbeatable price.
A passing score on the exam is required prior to submitting an application. Contact PSI to schedule the examination. Testing centers are setup throughout the State in larger cities.
After completing all the steps above, it will be time to apply through RoC to obtain your Arizona Electrical Contractor license. Have questions or concerns with this process (or just a lack of time)? Learn more about how we can assist with our Application Processing Program.
All applicants must pass the Statutes and Rules Course, but you may choose between two exam options:
