Utah contractors may hold one of many types of licenses, each specializing in either a specific trade or in a general scope of Building, Engineering, or Commercial work. 16 hours of continuing education is required each licensing period prior to renewal. Utah has reciprocity agreements for Journeyman with Alaska, Arkansas, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oklahoma, and Oregon. They have reciprocity at the Master level for Idaho, Oregon, and Wyoming.
