How do I obtain a Michigan residential builders license?

To apply for your residential builders license, contact the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs at 517-241-0199 or visit their website.

21 hours of continuing education is required for renewal. Michigan has limited reciprocity arrangements, check with the board for the most up-to-date information.

Before applying to PSI to take your Residential Builder or Maintenance and Alteration Contractor (M&A) licensing examinations, you must first apply for licensure. The application must include a certificate of completion for the 60 hour pre-license course.

PASS THE STATE EXAM

How do I pass the Michigan Residential Builders license exam?
