Residential Builder Continuing Education
Michigan Residential Builder licensees are required to complete at least 3 hours of continuing education prior to each renewal. In the first 6 years of holding a license, licensees must accumulate 21 hours of continuing education every 3 years, with a minimum of 3 hours per year. Residential building licenses expire every 3 years on May 31st.

How do I renew my Residential Builder license in Michigan?
In Michigan, Residential building licenses expire every 3 years on May 31st. To renew, you are required to complete either 3 or 21 hours of education depending on how long you've held a license.
