Roofing Contractor
Roofing Contractors are unlimited in the roofing trade. Roofing contractors have the experience, knowledge, and skill to install, maintain, repair, alter, extend, or design and use materials and items used in the installation, maintenance, extension, and alteration of all kinds of roofing, waterproofing, and coating, except when coating is not represented to protect, repair, waterproof, stop leaks, or extend the life of the roof.

General Requirements- General Liability Insurance
- Education Requirements: 4 Years of work experience
- Experience gained during military service may be use towards the requirements for licensure
- Background Check and Fingerprinting

- Workers compensation insurance
How do I obtain a license?
To apply for your license, contact the Florida DBPR at 850-487-1395 or visit the Contractor's Board Website.
14 hours of continuing education are required each renewal. Florida may have reciprocity agreements for this license. Contact the licensing board you are applying to see if they have reciprocity agreements for the license you currently hold.

Next you will need to submit to background checks, form a legal entity, obtain all required insurance, and obtain a bond (if necessary).

To schedule your construction exam, first obtain pre-approval with PTI by visiting floridaexam.com or call 407-264-0562. After you have been approved, you can schedule your exams with Pearson VUE at 888-204-6230.

How do I pass the exam?
The Florida exams are open book. The references below are permitted to be tabbed, highlighted, and used during your test! Unfortunately, our online course is NOT permitted to be accessed during the State exam.
