Florida Roofing Contractors are required to complete 14 hours of continuing education prior to each renewal. Miami Dade county requires all licensees to obtain 2 hours of additional CE. We offer the continuing education online in an easy to use self-paced format. Our online courses are expertly written, fully narrated, and are available from almost any device, any time. We hope that you will make RocketCert your home to complete your Florida Roofing Continuing Education.
If you hold a Florida Electrical, Alarm, or Electrical Specialty license, the courses on this page do not satisfy your continuing education requirements. Please visit our Florida Electrical Continuing Education page to find courses approved for your license.
Please Note: The courses below do not currently fulfill the cladding, stucco, plastering and lath application requirement for the 2026-2028 renewal period. We will have a course that fulfills this requirement in the near future. The courses below will still satisfy all of the requirements for 2024-2026 renewals.
Not sure if you're required to take continuing education classes to renew your license? Click Here to view a list of license types that the CE requirement applies to.
This course also satisfies the renewal requirements for Palm Beach and Pinellas County contractors.
In Florida, the license expires every two years. Registered Roofing licenses expire on August 31 of odd years, and Certified Roofing licenses expire on August 31 of even years. To renew, contractors must complete 14 hours of education and submit your renewal to the Florida DBPR, Department of Business and Professional Regulation.
With RocketCert, our education is fully narrated and expertly written. We pride ourselves on providing industry leading customer service. Also, if you find a better original price on any online course that we offer, we will beat it by 10%.

We offer the required training online. Our courses come with lifetime access (though we know it won't take that long!)
14 hours are required for license renewal. With us, the training is available 24/7 on nearly any device.
After you complete the continuing education required to renew, you can instantly print your certificate of completion. We will notify the State the next business day, for local jurisdictions, attach your certificate to the renewal application.
