Hair Braider Initial Training
To obtain a Hair Braider Registration in South Carolina, you must complete 6 hours of training in health and sanitation online, pass an examination administered by the board and submit an application to the South Carolina Board of Barber Examiners. How do I obtain my South Carolina Hair Braider Registration?
In South Carolina, Hair Braider registration expire every 2 years on June 30th. Renewal notices are mailed about one month before your registration expiration date. To renew, submit the notice along with any required fees by the expiration date listed on your registration. If your renewal is not processed before the expiration date, a late fee will apply, and your registration will not be renewed until it is paid.

Hair Braider applicants must pass the South Carolina online safety and sanitation exam.
