Individual cosmetology licenses in Florida expire every two years on October 31st. Depending on your license group, it will either expire on even or odd years. Any time during this period, license holders are required to complete 10 hours of continuing education from an approved education provider. The topics of the education are set by the board and must comply with their requirements. How to I Renew my Florida Cosmetology License?

In Florida, Cosmetology licenses expire 2 years on 10/31. Group 1 licenses expire in odd years, and group 2 licenses expire in even years. You are required to complete 10 hours of state approved continuing education in order to renew your license.
