Cosmetology Teacher Continuing Education
Cosmetology Teacher licenses in Illinois expire every two years. Licenses expire on September 30th of odd-numbered years. Cosmetology Teacher license holders must complete 24 hours of continuing education while Hair Braiders, Nail Technicians, and Estheticians must complete 20. How to I Renew my Illinois Cosmetology License?
In Illinois, you are required to complete 20 or 24 hours of state approved continuing education every 2 years in order to renew your license. All teacher licenses expire September 30th of odd numbered years.
