Obtain or Renew Your License in Georgia
If you wish to work as a barber or cosmetologist in the state of Georgia, you must first obtain a license from the Georgia State Board of Cosmetology and Barbers. Applicants must meet certain training requirements and pass the required exams before a license is issued. Once you obtain a license, it is also your responsibility to keep it up to date. Georgia requires licensees to complete continuing education courses as part of the renewal process. Cosmetology
We've got all of the information you need to renew your cosmetology / barber license in Georgia. A total of 5 hours are required for each two year renewal period. Only state approved courses will count towards the renewal requirement.
