S350 HVAC Contractor Licensing & Exam Prep

S350 HVAC Contractor
A S350 HVAC Contractor is licensed to perform or superintend fabrication and installation of complete warm air heating, air conditioning and ventilating systems. This scope of practice includes installation of refrigeration equipment, including built-in refrigerators, refrigerated rooms, insulated refrigerated spaces and equipment related thereto.
What are the requirements to getting a license?
Experience Requirement- Two (2) years (at least 4,000 hours) of paid work experience in the construction industry
- Documentation for completion of Approved 25-hour Pre-licensing Course
- Construction Management Degree (2 or 4 year Degree)
- Pass Business and Law exam
How do I obtain a license?
To apply for your license, contact the Utah The Division of Occupational and Professional Licensing at 801-530-6628 or visit their website.
6 hours of continuing education is required each licensing period prior to renewal. Utah has no reciprocity agreements.
