C-1F Heating, Cooling and Circulating Air License
A person who holds a license designated classification C-2 may engage in the fabrication and installation of systems for the heating, evaporative cooling and circulation of air, excluding cooling systems, which require refrigeration as an integral part of the system.
What are the requirements to getting a license?
C-1F Heating, Cooling and Circulating Air Requirements- Pass the Contractor Management Survey exam
- A cash or surety bond in an amount determined by the Board.
- Proof of Industrial Insurance and Worker’s Compensation Insurance
- Provide a financial statement and bank verification form
- Minimum of 4 years of experience as a journeyman, foreman, supervising employee or contractor in the classification requested.
How do I obtain a license?
To apply for your license, contact the Nevada State Contractors Board at 702-486-1100 or visit the website to submit online.
Nevada does not require continuing education for this license. Nevada has reciprocity agreements with California, Arizona and Utah that recognize the experience qualifications for certain trades and may eliminate the requirement for a trade examination.

Nevada Contractors must pass two examinations: C-1F Heating, Cooling and Circulating Air Contractor Exam and CMS exam.

How do I pass the exam?
The Nevada exams are open book. The references below are permitted to be tabbed, highlighted, and used during your test! Unfortunately, our online course is NOT permitted to be accessed during the State exam.
