C-15 Roofing and Siding Contractors License
A C-15 Roofing and Siding Contractor Licensee may engage in the installation, application, alteration and repair of watertight and weatherproof material used on roofs, such as asphalt, pitch, tar, felt, flax, shakes, shingles, aluminum, tile, slate and urethane, but not the installation of siding or devices, such as stripping, for the internal control of the effects of weather, the installation, alteration and repair of siding, by use of material such as wood, aluminum, enameled steel, plastic and glass, to make the walls of a structure watertight and weatherproof, the installation of glass, metal, plastic, urethane and other material used for the insulation of buildings, the application of solutions of rubber, latex, asphalt, pitch, tar and other materials to surfaces to prevent water in any form from penetrating the surfaces.

C-15a Roofing Contractors License
A C-15a Roofing Contractor Licensee may engage in The installation, application, alteration and repair of watertight and weatherproof material used on roofs, such as asphalt, pitch, tar, felt, flax, shakes, shingles, aluminum, tile, slate and urethane, but not the installation of siding or devices, such as stripping, for the internal control of the effects of weather.
What are the requirements to getting a license?
C-15a & C-15 Roofing and Siding Contractor Requirements- Pass the Contractor Management Survey exam
- Pass the C-15a or C-15 Roofing Exam
- A cash or surety bond in an amount determined by the Board.
- Proof of Industrial Insurance and Worker’s Compensation Insurance
- Provide a financial statement and bank verification form
- Minimum of 4 years of work experience as a journeyman, foreman, supervising employee or contractor in the classification requested.
How do I obtain a license?
To apply for your license, contact the Nevada State Contractors Board at 702-486-1100 or visit the website to submit online.
Nevada does not require continuing education for this license. Nevada has reciprocity agreements with California, Arizona and Utah. These states recognize the experience qualifications for certain trades and may eliminate the requirement for a trade examination. Contact the governing licensing agencies for more info on how to apply via reciprocity.

How do I pass the exam?
The Nevada exams are open book. The references below are permitted to be tabbed, highlighted, and used during your test! Unfortunately, our online course is NOT permitted to be accessed during the State exam.
