Master Electrician Licensing & Exam Prep

Communication Systems & Low Voltage Electrical License
This license permits the holder to work on low voltage electrical systems, excluding alarms.
What are the requirements to getting a license?
General Requirements- Pass Mississippi Law and Business Management exam
- Pass the Mississippi Communication Systems and Low Voltage Electrical Exam
- Proof of employment of each qualifying party
- Three reference letters
- One must be from your bank or financial institution
- Reviewed or audited financial statement prepared by a certified public accountant within the last 12 months
- Certificate of insurance showing current general liability coverage
- $300,000 per occurrence
- $600,000 aggregated
- MSBOC must be listed on the policy as the certificate holder to be notified if the coverage is canceled
- Certificate must include policy number, coverage dates, and amounts
- Certificate of worker's compensation insurance
- If you have 5 or more employees
- Certificate showing proof of good standing with the Mississippi Secretary of State
- Only applies if the applicant is a corporation, LLC, or LLP
How do I obtain a license?
To apply for your license, contact the Mississippi State Board of Contractors at 601-354-6161 or visit Board Website.
No Continuing education is currently required to renew this license. Mississippi does not have any reciprocity agreements for this license type.

Once you have passed your exams PSI will notify the Mississippi State Board of Contractors and the Board will process and approve your application. How do I pass the exam?
The Mississippi exams are open book. The references below are permitted to be tabbed, highlighted, and used during your test! Unfortunately, our online course is NOT permitted to be accessed during the State exam.
