Louisiana issues multiple types of Contractor licenses. The Mechanical Contractor license is valid for all Mechanical projects within the state, and licenses are required for any project totaling $10,000 or more. Some Mechanical projects involving plumbing, gas piping, and boilers may require additional licenses or licensed professionals. The Business and Law course must be completed prior to the trade exam. The state does not require continuing education for this license.
Our exam prep is designed to help you pass your test the first time, and is backed with our no pass, no pay policy. All of our courses are available from almost any device, any time. We hope that you will make RocketCert your home to help you obtain your Louisiana Mechanical Contractor License.
Mechanical Contractors are licensed to undertake hydraulic and pneumatic system projects, including such components as heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, hydronic and steam systems, pressure vessels, plumbing, gas piping, process piping, mechanical equipment, air and process heaters and seals, and air vacuums and filters. Also includes mechanical work for marine vessels. Licensees are exempt from all Fire Marshal licensing requirements for piping for fire sprinkler systems
