What type of work can be done with this license?

Licensed Contractor in Virginia
  • B-2 General Small Commercial

    This license is for commercial projects that are $2,000,000 and less including additions. This does include B scope.

  • B General Residential

    This license is for construction or repair of any part (or all) of a residential structure. This does include B-2 scope.

  • KB-2 Dual Residential and Small Commercial

    The KB-2 (or Dual) license allows for both residential and small commercial projects.

  • Identify a Qualifying Party (4 years' experience)
  • Pass Exams 2 State exams: Statutes & Rules, Trade
  • Submit Background Check for every person named on the License Application Form
  • Form a legal entity
  • Obtain and submit proof of a license bond

How do I obtain a license?

To apply for your license, contact the Arizona ROC at 602-542-1525 or visit ROC online.

As of this time, there is no continuing education for contractor's licenses. Also, Arizona does not have any reciprocity agreements.

The qualifying party must meet or exceed the classification requirements.

It’s the exam! NASCLA Commercial Exam

If you are applying for the B-2 license, you can pass the NASCLA Commercial Contractor exam as an option. The Statutes & Rules exam must still be passed.

How do I pass the exam?

The Arizona exams are partially open book. The references below are permitted to be tabbed, highlighted, and used during your test! Unfortunately, our online course is NOT permitted to be accessed during the State exam.

The exam prep includes math and accounting, highlighting guides covering the topics your exam is based on, practice questions for each reference, and unlimited attempts on our "test simulation".
