Need to obtain your Limited Electrician License in Maine? Electrical limited licenses can be obtained in classifications. Both licenses require applicants to pass an examination, and the licenses are governed by the State Electrical Board of Maine. Qualifications to obtain and renew the licenses are detailed below.

Low Energy Electricians are permitted to perform the installation, maintenance, alteration and testing of fire alarm circuits and equipment including NOT limited to telephone, radio, computer and data electrical wiring, fixtures, appliances, thermostats, apparatus, raceways and conduit, or any part thereof, NOT to exceed ninety-eight (98) volts.
