Louisiana

Mechanical Contractor Licensing & Exam Prep

Louisiana issues multiple types of Contractor licenses. The Mechanical Contractor license is valid for all Mechanical projects within the state, and licenses are required for any project totaling $10,000 or more. Some Mechanical projects involving plumbing, gas piping, and boilers may require additional licenses or licensed professionals. Louisiana also offers a Heat, A/C, Ventilation, Duct Work & Refrigeration License subclassification for individuals planning to work on HVAC and refrigeration systems only. The Business and Law course must be completed prior to the trade exam. The state does not require continuing education for this license.

Our exam prep is designed to help you pass your test the first time, and is backed with our no pass, no pay policy. All of our courses are available from almost any device, any time. We hope that you will make RocketCert your home to help you obtain your Louisiana Mechanical Contractor License or Heat, A/C, Ventilation, Duct Work & Refrigeration License

Attention: Starting August 6, 2025, all Louisiana contractor licensing exams will be administered by PSI Exams and will now be open book. Our materials and references have been updated for these new exams.
