If you wish to engage in construction work in the State of Kansas, you must first obtain a license. However, contractors are not required to obtain a license from the state. Instead, you are required to obtain a license through your local city, county, or jurisdiction. The information on this page is based on the requirements for Johnson County, Sedgwick County, Shawnee County, and Douglas County licenses.
At RocketCert, we offer industry leading Kansas Contractor License exam prep to help you pass your exam on the first try. In addition, we stock the references that you need and can use during the exam. All of our training is available online to help you achieve your goal of obtaining a Kansas Building Contractor License.
