Arkansas classifies Residential Electricians as either Journeyman or Master. Whereas the Journeyman is a more limited license, the Master Electrical license is unlimited and allows for contracting with the general public. We have built this page to outline the requirements for both licenses. All of our training is offered in an online self-paced format. Our exam prep is designed to help you pass your test the first time, and is backed with our no pass, no pay policy. All of our courses are available from almost any device, any time. We hope that you will make RocketCert your home to help you obtain your Arkansas Electrical License.
A Residential Journeyman Electrician is limited by license classification to install, alter, repair, maintain, or renovate electrical facilities for one and two family dwellings under the general supervision of a Residential Master Electrician or a Master Electrician. A Residential Journeyman may perform electrical work on a commercial or other project under the supervision of a Journeyman Electrician or Master Electrician in the same manner and with the same ratio as an Electrical Apprentice.
The Master Electrician license is limited by license classification to performing electrical work for one and two family dwellings, including planning and supervising the installation, maintenance and extension of electrical facilities. A Residential Master Electrician may perform work on a commercial or other project under the supervision of a Journeyman Electrician or Master Electrician in the same manner and with the same ratio as an Electrical Apprentice.
