For general commercial projects of $2,000,000 or less including labor and materials, this classification allows the licensee to perform commercial construction in connection with any new structure or addition built, being built, or to be built for the support, shelter and enclosure of persons, animals, or movable property of any kind. This scope includes the supervision of all or any part of the above and includes the management or direct or indirect supervision of any work performed.
This classification allows the licensee to construct and repair all or any part of a residential structure or appurtenance. Work related to electrical, plumbing, air conditioning systems, boilers, swimming pools, spas and water wells must be subcontracted to an appropriately licensed contractor. This classification does not include work authorized by the A-, B-1, or B-2 scopes.
The KB-2 (or Dual) license allows you to supervise or manage both residential and small commercial projects.
To apply for your license, contact the Arizona Registrar of Contractors at 602-542-1525 or visit their website.

After studying with RocketCert, you will be on your way to passing the required state licensing exam(s) (see below). Contact PSI at 855-744-0310 to begin this process. Testing centers are setup throughout the State in larger cities.
Next you will need to submit to background checks, form a legal entity, and obtain a surety bond.
After completing all the steps above, it will be time to apply through the Registrar of Contractors to obtain your Arizona Contractors License. Have questions or concerns with this process (or just a lack of time)? Learn more about how we can assist with our Application Processing Program.
