- Notarized Application
- Proof of comprehensive or commercial liability insurance
- $100,000/occurrence
- Not less than $3,000 aggregate limit
- Two criminal background checks

Ohio home inspector licenses expire every three years on the date of initial licensure. The state of Ohio requires all home inspectors to complete 14 hours of continuing education each year, totalling 42 hours every renewal cycle.
