- Proof of 60 Hour Pre-Licensing Education
- Complete 5 Field Events under a Licensed Illinois Home Inspector
- Evidence of Passing Score on the NHIE
- Completed and Signed Application

How do I obtain an Illinois home inspector license?
To apply for your license, contact the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation at 888-473-4858 or visit their website. Illinois requires 60 hours of training by an approved provider. RocketCert does not currently offer this program. Licensed home inspectors in Illinois expire every two years on November 30th. Illinois requires 12 hours of continuing education for home inspectors and a 1 hour Sexual Harassment Prevention Training Course biennially.
