How do I become a Certified Food Protection Manager in Washington?
To become a CFPM, you must complete an accredited course and exam. The food protection manager certification must be renewed every 5 years. To renew your certification, you must complete a training course and pass a re-certification exam.

- Define terms associated with foodborne illness, including:
- Foodborne illness
- Foodborne outbreak
- Foodborne infection
- Foodborne intoxication
- Foodborne pathogens
- Recognize the major organisms and toxins that can contaminate food, and their associated risks to human health
