There are several requirements you must meet before obtaining your barber license in Florida. All barber licenses required to complete a training program and the initial 2 hour HIV / AIDS course. Those applying for a barber license must also pass the Barber Written Exam. More information on these topics can be found in the sections below. The 4 hour Cosmetology course on HIV / AIDS does not substitute for this course.

How to I Obtain my Florida Barber License?
In Florida, to obtain a barber license you must first complete a number of in school training hours. After you complete this requirement you must take a 2 hour initial training course on HIV / AIDS. Barbers in Florida must also renew their license every two years by completing 2 hours of state approved continuing education.
