The Nebraska State Electrical Division is responsible for issuing and governing electrical licenses. Prospective licensees have to ability to apply for either a Journeyman Electrical or an Electrical Contractor License. Each license has experience and examination requirements, which are spelled out on the page below. Once a license is obtained, the state requires all electrical licensees to complete 12 hours of continuing education every two years.
