If you are a Georgia Electrician or hold a Georgia Electrical license, the board requires you to complete 4 hours of approved continuing education each year. The license period lasts for two years. That means upon renewal, if you have only held your license for one year, only 4 hours of continuing education are required. If you have held your license for two full years or more, 8 hours of approved electrical continuing education are required to be completed by the end of the renewal period. If you are a new license holder and have not held the license for at least one year, no continuing education is required.

How do I renew my Electrician License in Georgia?
In Georgia, the license expires June 30th of even years. To renew a Georgia Electrician license that has been held for two years or more, you are required to complete 8 hours of education and submit your renewal to the State.
