Code Enforcement Continuing Education & License Renewal
West Virginia Code Enforcement Officers are required to complete 1.5 CEUs per license. For one license, code enforcement officers must complete 15 hours of continuing education every three years. Completion of these hours must be reported to West Virginia State Fire Marshal's Office. Continuing education hours can be completed in an online, self-paced format with RocketCert, but there is a minimum required number of CEUs that must be completed through the ICC or PPN Training (50% of Total Required CEUs). How do I renew my Code Enforcement license in West Virginia?
In West Virginia, Code Official licenses must be filed for renewal every three years. To renew your license, 15 hours of continuing education courses must be completed for every license held. After that, you must submit your renewal to the West Virginia State Fire Marshal's Office.
