Code Officials, Inspectors, and Plans Examiners Continuing Education
Code Enforcement Continuing Education & License Renewal
Pennsylvania Code Officials are required to complete 15 hours of continuing education for each certification category every three years. Each time a construction code official applies for and receives Department certification in a new category, the expiration date for all the approved certifications is moved to a date three years from the date of issuance of the new certification category. Completion of these hours must be reported to Pennsylvania's Department of Labor & Industry. Continuing education hours can be completed in an online, self-paced format with RocketCert. How do I renew my Code Enforcement license in Pennsylvania?
In Pennsylvania, Code Enforcement licenses must be filed for renewal every three years. Each time a construction code official applies for and receives Department certification in a new category, the expiration date for all the approved certifications is moved to a date three years from the date of issuance of the new certification category. To renew your license, 15 hours of continuing education courses must be completed for each certification category. After that, you must submit your renewal to the Pennsylvania Department of Labor & Industry.
