Structural Plans Examiner
Persons certified as A-Level Structural Plans Examiners may review construction plans for compliance with the Oregon Structural Specialty Code, except the fire and life safety plan review provisions for structures required to receive a state fire and life safety plan review.

Structural Inspector
Persons certified as A-Level Structural Inspectors may conduct construction inspections of all work regulated by the Oregon Structural Specialty Code.

How do I obtain a license?
To apply for your Structural Plans Examiner and Structural Inspector license, contact the Oregon Department of Consumer and Business Services at 503-373-1268 or visit their website.
Certified code enforcement officers in Oregon are required to complete code change courses and high-priority training when needed. The division may determine that a code change course is not required if a given code was not significantly changed or the division otherwise determined a code change course is unnecessary. Licenses are to be renewed every three years (2023, 2026, 2029, etc.).

How do I pass the exam?
