Persons certified as Fire and Life Safety Plans Examiners may review construction plans for compliance with the fire and life safety plan review provisions of the Oregon Structural Specialty Code (OSSC 107.3.5).
What are the requirements to getting a license?
Fire and Life Safety Plans ExaminerThe Fire and Life Safety Plans Examiner Certification can be obtained through submitting the National Certification Conversion Application for one of the approved national certification below:
- ICC F3 - Fire Plans Examiner
- NFPA CFPE - Certified Fire Plan Examiner
How do I obtain a license?
To apply for your Fire and Life Safety Plans Examiner license, contact the Oregon Department of Consumer and Business Services at 503-373-1268 or visit their website.
Certified code enforcement officers in Oregon are required to complete code change courses and high-priority training when needed. The division may determine that a code change course is not required if a given code was not significantly changed or the division otherwise determined a code change course is unnecessary. Licenses are to be renewed every three years (2023, 2026, 2029, etc.).
