Building Code Official
A Building Code Official ensures that all residential and commercial buildings comply with state and local construction codes by reviewing plans, issuing permits, conducting inspections, and enforcing regulations. They provide guidance on land use, respond to inquiries, and coordinate with other departments and emergency management to assess project compliance and disaster impacts.
What are the requirements to getting a license?

- Attend 30-40 hour course hosted by Idaho Institute of Government Affiliate
- Pass Examination with score of 75% or higher

These Idaho Code Official Exams are administered by the International Code Council. To schedule your exam, you must register through the ICC Website

How do I pass the exam?
The exam prep includes math, geometry, highlighting guides covering the topics your exam is based on, practice questions for each references, and unlimited attempts on our "test simulation".
