Electrical Continuing Education
Suffolk County electricians are required to complete 4-8 hours of continuing education every 2 years. Electrical licenses expire 2 years from the date you received your license. Inspectors and Master Electricians must complete 8 hours while Restricted Electricians must complete 4 hours.

How do I renew my Electrical license in Suffolk County?
In Suffolk County, electrical licenses expire 2 years from the day you received your license. To renew, you are required to complete 8-4 hours of education and submit your renewal to the Board. Many counties in New York have reciprocity agreements for continuing education. Contact your licensing agency to find out if your license has reciprocity agreements with Suffolk County.
