Requirements & Steps

How do I renew my Electrical license in Hawaii?

Hawaii electrical licenses expire every 3 years with the next expiration date being June 30, 2026. To renew, you are required to complete 4 hours of approved continuing education and submit your renewal to the State. If you obtained your license within 1 year of the expiration date you are not required to complete CE for that renewal. Maintenance electricians (EM) are exempt from the CE requirements. Hawaii has a grace period of 1-year for renewal before holders must reapply for a license with the Board of Electricians and Plumbers.

With RocketCert, our education is fully narrated and expertly written. We pride ourselves on providing industry leading customer service. Also, if you find a better original price on any online course that we offer, we will beat it by 10%.
