Contractor Continuing Education
We have everything you need to satisfy the Continuing Education required to renew your Florida Contractor license. The Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation sets forth specific requirements for each continuing education course to meet. The topics and number of hours in each topic is set by the state. In addition to the state CE requirements, Miami Dade and Broward county have their own requirements. Miami Dade county requires licensees to obtain 1 hour of CE on chapter 10 of Miami Dade Code and 1 hour on Florida Statute 713, Construction Lien Law. Broward county requires licensees to obtain 1 hour of CE on Florida Statute 489 and 1 hour on Chapter 9 of Broward County Code.

How do I renew my Florida Contractor License?
In the state of Florida, certified and registered CILB contractor licenses expire every two years. Registered general contractor licenses expire on August 31st of odd years. Certified general contractor licenses expire on August 31st of even years. In Miami Dade County, Licenses expire on August 31st of even years. In Broward County, Licenses expire every two years by August 31st based on first licensure date To renew, you must complete 14 hours of board approved continuing education and submit your renewal to the State.
