Auctioneer Continuing Education & License Renewal
Alabama auctioneer licenses must be renewed every even numbered year by September 30th. In order to renew, you must complete 6 hours of continuing education courses. All training must be approved by the Alabama State Board of Auctioneers.

How do I renew my auctioneer license in Alabama?
In Alabama, auctioneer licenses expire biannually on 9/30 of even years. To renew, you are required to complete 6 hours of continuing education. After that, you must submit your renewal to the Alabama State Board of Auctioneers.

Exemptions
Note: Excess hours of continuing education may be carried over to the next renewal period.
Exemptions from the continuing education requirements:
- Licensing exam was taken within 12 months of the expiration date. Applies even if your license was issued via reciprocity.
- Reciprocal licensees whose home state requires continuing education for renewal will be considered to have met the continuing education requirements of Alabama
